Arvis - Steel Take Up Units

The Arvis Steel Take Up Units are heavy-duty steel take up housings and a direct replacement for cast iron take up units. They are designed for applications with high shock loads, continuous vibration, overload and impact, conditions in which cast iron housings often fail.

Reliable Belt Tension

A take up unit supports the shaft and keeps a conveyor belt at the correct tension. Where brittle cast iron can crack under impact or overload, the steel housing is designed to resist deformation caused by vibration, shock and dynamic loading. This ensures smooth, reliable conveyor operation, less downtime and lower maintenance costs.

Easy to Install

The units are compatible with standard self-aligning bearing inserts, so they can be installed without major machine modifications. They are available complete with bearing inserts or as a housing only, allowing you to fit your preferred rolling element bearing. This makes them suitable for both OEMs and maintenance or retrofit projects. Arvis can supply non-standard versions for specific loads and conditions on request.

The Arvis Steel Take Up Units are used in conveyor systems, mining, aggregate processing, recycling, cement works, bulk material handling, agriculture, manufacturing and logistics.
