Arvis - Loose Ring Oiler Fan Bearing LRO

The Arvis Loose Ring Oiler Fan Bearing LRO is designed for continuous lubrication and dependable performance in demanding industrial applications. The bearing has a fully split cast iron housing with precision-machined gunmetal inserts and uses a proven loose ring oiling system.

How the Ring Oiler Works

The loose oil rings rotate with the shaft and dip into an integrated oil reservoir. As the shaft turns, the rings continuously lift oil, which is distributed through precision-machined oil grooves along the full length of the bearing. This ensures a constant oil film, less friction and a significantly longer service life.

Construction and Maintenance

The LRO bearing is available with an almost unlimited range of bore sizes for shaft diameters from 25 to 200 mm (1″ to 8″). Bearing length equals two shaft diameters, for good load distribution and stable shaft support. Thanks to the split housing, inserts can be replaced without removing the shaft, and replacement bearing shells are available from stock. The range was originally designed in imperial sizes; the same castings are used for imperial and metric bores, so metric versions retain housing dimensions based on the imperial casting.

The Arvis Loose Ring Oiler Fan Bearing LRO is used in large electric motors, industrial fans, blowers, pumps, turbines, processing equipment and power generation, in both new installations and refurbishment projects.
