Arvis - Split Gunmetal Hanger Bearings

The Arvis Split Gunmetal Hanger Bearings are hanger bearings made entirely from high-quality gunmetal. This material offers excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and durability in demanding environments, making it more resistant to harsh conditions than cast iron alternatives.

Suspension and Lubrication

The housing is suspended on a robust threaded rod secured with locknuts, providing stable overhead support. The rod is drilled through its centre and fitted with a grease nipple, delivering lubricant directly to the journal bearing. This minimises friction and wear and extends service life, even in continuous operation.

Fully Split for Fast Maintenance

The fully split design allows the bearing to be inspected or replaced without removing the shaft or dismantling surrounding equipment. This shortens maintenance time and downtime and lowers long-term operating costs. The bronze construction is dimensionally stable and provides dependable shaft support under continuous loads. Standard sizes cover shaft diameters from 20 to 55 mm (½″ to 2¼″); other sizes and versions are available as custom builds.
