Arvis - Steel Plummer Block Housings

The Arvis Steel Plummer Block Housings are a heavy-duty steel replacement for conventional cast iron bearing housings. They are made from high-strength steel and withstand the severe shock loads, vibration, overload and impact that often cause cast iron housings to crack or fail.

Direct Replacement for Cast Iron

The housings replace standard cast iron self-aligning housings with minimal modification. They are compatible with self-aligning bearing inserts, which simplify installation and accommodate shaft misalignment. You can order them complete with bearing inserts or as a housing only, to fit your preferred bearing. This makes them suitable for new equipment, maintenance programmes and retrofit projects.

Versions

The range includes the MP, NP, SL, UCP 200 and UCP 300 series, with dimension tables for each. Arvis can also make custom housings with non-standard dimensions, mounting arrangements or bearing configurations, including self-lubricating versions. The steel construction withstands repeated impact and dynamic loading without the risk of brittle fracture.

The Arvis Steel Plummer Block Housings are used in mining, quarrying, recycling, cement production, aggregate processing, steel manufacturing, marine, bulk material handling and agriculture.
